Hi, I'm Carrie! I’m currently a Senior 3D Artist at Niantic, where I worked on the AR-first mobile pet sim Peridot, as well as other experimental titles like “Hello, Dot”. I have over a decade of experience in the industry as an environment artist and 3D artist, across a variety of platforms (PC/console, mobile, Quest 3) and game engines (Unity, UE 4+5, proprietary engines), and I have shipped many games during this time.

Before working at Niantic, I was at Cold Iron Studios for 4 years as an environment artist for Aliens: Fireteam Elite. And before that, I worked at EA Maxis as an object modeler, where I created assets for the Sims 4: Vampires expansion pack. I’m especially excited about asset creation and set dressing, and love creating spaces with personality.

I’m also passionate about diversity and inclusion in the game industry — I’ve made a point to seek out opportunities to lift others up during my career so far. I’m an Ambassador for Women in Games WIGJ, and have also been a mentor with Out In Tech and Bay Area Women in Games.

In addition to making them, I'm a huge nerd about playing video games of all types. A few recent favorite games were Pacific Drive and Tactical Breach Wizards; some all-time favorite games are Dishonored, Half-Life 2, and Overwatch. (Ask me why, and I’ll happily talk your ear off about what makes any of these special!).

When I'm not making 3D art, you can find me drawing, sewing, reading scifi/fantasy, exploring Oakland with my girlfriend, or hanging out with our excitable tuxedo cat named Roxie.
